1.Prioritize your mental health. People are feeling a lot of emotions right now. Sadness, loneliness, stress, worry, maybe even anger and grief. Whatever you are feeling, don’t let yourself feel guilty about feeling it. Take time to sit with your feelings and work through them. IF you need a professional’s help, reach out to one. 2.Get enough sleep. One common women’s health issue is not sleeping well. This may be especially true right now. However, getting an adequate amount of rest each night is essential to staying healthy. Without enough sleep you often can’t deal with emotions as well and may find yourself having trouble getting through the day. Recharge at night and be sure to get seven to nine hours. 3.Maintain a balanced diet. Eating healthy is an essential part of women’s health. If you find yourself eating take out more often, look for healthy alternatives on the menu. Or, make a family night out of cooking a healthy, wholesome meal. Eating well can boost your energy, keep your weight under control, and feel good. 4.Make time for yourself. Women are known for putting the needs of others before their needs. This, in the long run, is not good for women’s health. Make sure you take time each day to do something for you. It can be a simple walk around the block, a few minutes of reading your favorite book, or even tending to your garden. 5.Unplug for a bit. With the news and social media constantly at our finger tips, we can become overwhelmed, especially when the news may not be the best. As part of your women’s health plan, take some time to unplug. You can do this each night while spending time with the family, or take breaks when things start to feel like too much to handle.
